Dan Mogulof, assistant vice chancellor for the UC Berkeley Office of Communications and Public Affairs told Campus Reform the matter is under review.

”The matter is currently under review and the course description has already been changed,” Mogulof said.

Both instructors set to teach the course, Christián Gonzalez Reyes and Harry Mizumoto, signed a letter following spring 2024 protests at UCLA that blames Israel for “all violent struggle that is currently taking place on Palestinian lands.”

On Tuesday, Department of Public Safety Associate Vice President Quchee Collins identified the four individuals as university students who are charged with crimes of felony criminal mischief, explaining that their actions are criminal and not just disciplinary.

StopAntisemitism released a new report covering worsening anti-Semitism in America’s colleges and universities.
The report, “Antisemitism on U.S. College and University Campuses,” claims there has been a “jaw-dropping 3,000% rise in antisemitic tips and submissions,” attributing this trend to the failure of universities “to protect their Jewish students in the wake of violent antisemitic uprisings.” Many schools either “ignored” the worsening anti-Semitism or worked to “actively” make “hostile environments for their Jewish students.”

Some key findings of the report are that more than half of Jewish students “have personally been victims of antisemitism at their schools,” more than 40 percent of Jewish students “hide their Jewish identity from their classmates out of fear,” almost 70 percent “say Jews are completely excluded from their schoolʼs DEI initiatives,” and 43 percent “would not recommend their school to fellow Jewish students.”

The report criticizes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, saying these “completely exclude Jewish students,” and that anti-Semitic discrimination is “frequently minimized.”

StopAntisemitism graded individual schools regarding their friendliness to Jewish students and their response to anti-Semitism. The schools that received A grades are Baylor, Clemson, Elon, and Mississippi Universities.

The schools that received failing grades were Emerson College, the New School University, the University of California, Davis, the University of Oregon, the University of Washington, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Brown University, and Cornell University.

'Antisemitism is not a bug': Barnard College faces criticism for inviting anti-Israel speaker
Barnard College stood by its decision to host UN Special Rapporteur Francesca P. Albanese despite widespread allegations of antisemitism.
“The fact that Albanese was invited by the chairs of the Human Rights, Economics, and Anthropology departments is proof that at Columbia and Barnard, antisemitism is not a bug but a feature of our institution” Eden Yadegar, president of Students Supporting Israel Columbia University, told the Times of Israel.

Antisemitic Protest Targets Harvard Hillel, Jewish Student Center
An antisemitic protest targeted the Hillel building, the center of Jewish religious and communal life, at Harvard University on Monday night, as it hosted a lecture by a former spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

“Zionists are not welcome here!” protesters chanted, along with “From the river to the sea/Palestine will be free,” which is a call for the destruction of Israel. A “Zionist” is someone who believes in Israel’s right to exist;
…that’s incomplete. A Zionist is someone who believes that Israel is the national homeland of the Jews, just like Ireland is the national homeland of the Irish and France is the national homeland of the French, and that Israel has the right to exist. An anti-Zionist is someone who believers that, unlike all the other peoples of the world, Jews do not get to have a national homeland, and any uppity enough to try deserve to be killed horribly for it…
over 90% of Jewish people subscribe to that belief, meaning that if “Zionists” are not welcome, neither are Jews in general. The Hillel building itself is not technically on Harvard’s campus, but it is the center of religious life for Harvard students, especially undergraduates..

The protest was organized by a group calling itself Harvard Jews for Palestine, which was not a recognized student group as of last year. Harvard’s Palestine Solidarity Committee allowed unrecognized student groups to take the lead in campus protests last year after its radical tactics put it in danger of being disciplined. (The Palestine Solidarity Committee was suspended by the university in April, amid “encampment” protests, and reinstated in September.)

If the Colleges refuse to seriously address the issues. Terminate all state and federal funding. Pull their accreditations. Ban the students, arrest the outside inciters.

Charge all major donors with supporting Racial Hate, civil rights violations, funding/supporting terrorist activities.
