Third missile attack in 24 hours hits US base in Deir ez-Zor, Syria
|
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] A missile attack targeted the US base at the Conoco gas field in Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, last night, sources reported.
According to the sources, Th explosions were heard around the Conoco field due to a rocket barrage, bringing the total number of attacks on the base in the past 24 hours to three.
Following the rocket attack, both military and American helicopters flew over the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor and the area where the base is located, north of Deir ez-Zor.
Additionally, American forces fired flares in the air around the base.
It is worth noting that rocket barrages had already targeted the base twice in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Field sources confirmed that the rockets hit the base and indicated that the attack coincided with an American Arclight airstrike

targeting the al-Joura neighborhood in the vicinity of Deir ez-Zor.
