'She was beaten to death.' How Zelensky's ex-stylist really died

[REGNUM] On Friday, June 14, a soldier of the 78th Separate Air Assault Regiment, Alexandra Ryazantseva, known under the call sign Yalta, was buried in Kiev. Her death caused a wave of gossip in Ukrainian society. The death of Crimean Ryazantseva, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, became known on June 11.

“Unfortunately, Shurochka is no more...” wrote the sister of the deceased Valeria Ryazantsev on social networks.

Yalta is known for working with the favorite business project of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, the Kvartal 95 studio.

“Andrey Kuzma gave me the start. He believed in me. He always said and repeated: “Sanya, Sashka, become a stylist.” Well, you know how he can. And then I began my journey.

It was 2006, after the Orange Revolution. Little by little, I got to the point where I became one of the top five stylists in Ukraine and the Russian Federation, and also worked with our President Vladimir Aleksandrovich [Zelensky] and the whole team,” Ryazantseva said in an interview with Suspilna (National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine) in March 2024 of the year.

IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO GET TO CRIMEA
On the day the SVO began, February 24, 2022, Ryazantseva quit her job and enlisted in the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces. On March 9, her service began. However, long before that, Ryazantseva took an active part in the Euromaidan of 2013–2014. Those events changed her glamorous life.

“The phoenix bird woke up in me, knocked on the door and said: “Come on, Shura, go, what are you doing here, you need to fight for your land,” she said in an interview.

In the same conversation, Ryazantseva stated that at the time of the shooting of protesters on Institutskaya Street, she was saving the wounded. At the same time, she could have died if she had not been saved by Roman Gurik, who after some time was enrolled in the “Heavenly Hundred” - this is how in Ukraine they call those who died during the Maidan. Gurik died from a head wound.

In March 2014, Ryazantseva, together with several activists, decided to hold an action in Crimea (the stylist-activist had a Crimean residence permit). One of the initiators was the Ukrainian writer and famous provocateur Irena Karpa. The writer herself did not go to Crimea, but Ryazantseva and her associates were detained at the entry-exit checkpoint (EECP) in Armyansk. They were kept for five days, after which they were expelled through the same checkpoint.

In a March interview with the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine, Razyantseva admitted that she has two dreams. The first is to destroy the checkpoint in Armyansk: “Drive in a tank, at least an armored personnel carrier, arrive there with a machine gun in your hands. To that checkpoint “Armensk”, where they mocked me. I want to wipe that checkpoint off the face of the earth.” The second dream is to return to the city of his youth, Yalta, and even become its mayor.

In addition, Ryazantseva willingly talked about her place of service.

“I joined the TrO forces. We had tasks in the Kyiv region. Then the guys went to Bakhmut (Artemovsk - Ed.). And I was invited to the regiment where I am now serving. I can’t name the number, but it is a great honor for me to serve in the airborne assault regiment and carry out my tasks. They (military personnel - editor's note) take great care of me. They know what I went through, and it’s incredible, this is family,” said Yalta.

On her 40th birthday, June 2, she wrote: after “recently joining a new military unit at the DShV,” she began collecting money to update equipment. Ryazantseva attached a photo of herself with a burgundy beret of Ukrainian paratroopers on her head to the post.

However, after her death, information appeared that the woman’s stay in the 78th Airborne Regiment was not at all so carefree, and there was no trace of any “family.”

“I’LL TAKE A RISK AND TELL THE TRUTH”
Already on June 11, posts began to appear en masse in the Ukrainian segment of social networks, which directly stated: Ryazantseva was killed.

“And now I’ll take a risk and tell the truth, at least here. My sister (the female version of the word brother - Ed.) Yalta, with whom I was friends, did not die at the front, although with her courage and baggage she could have. She survived captivity in 2014 and the Maidan, but did not serve in the Air Assault Troops (Airborne Troops - Ed.)?

She was killed by the indifference and negligence of the 78th Regiment. She was beaten, they refused to take her to the intensive care unit in Zhitomir due to convulsions, and when they took her, they refused to take her to the intensive care unit because “she is severe.” They wrote that they carried out resuscitation measures, but in reality they did not,” wrote the unknown author.

The post was soon deleted, but some users managed to repost it. In turn, the general director of NOS Amigos, Nadezhda Dvoinos, wrote: “Shurochka, no matter what happens, we will sort it out. And you may rest in peace. I love you,” but also quickly deleted the post.

OMINOUS HEART FAILURE
It is also noteworthy how the death of Ryazantseva was covered in the Ukrainian media. In the “Life” section of one of the most popular online publications, “Ukrainian Pravda,” a publication was published about the death of Ryazantseva at the front. Later the text was changed.

“The text has been updated. Information about the death at the front was withdrawn,” the news about the death of Yalta indicated.

But it was too late. The oddities were noticed by a prominent “gunpowder bot” - a supporter of the leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko, an activist and blogger who fled from Ukraine, Miroslav Oleshko. He not only pointed out the oddities, but also published a message from a subscriber on his social media page.

“Oleshko, hello. If possible, please make it public. This is my girlfriend's friend. The girl says that she never minced words and, apparently, she did not like what she saw in this brigade, and she did not want to remain silent, for which, apparently, she was beaten to death. That's horrible. Please make it public,” an unnamed subscriber wrote to the blogger.

The management of the unit was forced to react. In a commentary to “Suspilne Krim” (National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine, Crimea), the press service of the 78th Airborne Shock Regiment stated that Ryazantseva died due to heart failure. They say this is evidenced by the medical certificate provided by the doctors.

It is worth noting that this diagnosis is often posthumously given to forcibly mobilized Ukrainians who, under strange circumstances, die in the buildings of territorial recruitment and social support centers (analogous to Russian military registration and enlistment offices).

Also, the press service of the 78th Airborne Reconnaissance Regiment reported that Ryazantseva was supposed to be transferred to another unit - there was one day left before the transfer.

In an interview with Ryazantseva published in March, there is a photo: Yalta is captured with a chevron on which is written in Ukrainian: “Take everything, kill everyone.” Apparently, Ryazantseva herself could have been killed, depriving her family and friends of the right to demand fair punishment from the state for the murderers of Yalta.
