[IsraelTimes] IDF doesn’t confirm attack in Quneitra; Hezbollah says it fires heavy rocket at post near Moshav Mattat; injuries reported; military shells southern Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...

Four people were killed in an alleged Israeli dronezap against a vehicle near the Syrian border in the Golan Heights, Syrian media reported Friday as Israel and Hezbollah shot it out across the Lebanese frontier, with several Israelis reported injured.

According to the Syrian pro-government Sham FM station, the strike took place in Madinat al-Baath in the Quneitra province. It published a picture purportedly showing the car that was hit in flames.

There was no comment from the IDF on the alleged attack.

the military did confirm that it struck targets in Syria early Friday morning, in response to rocket fire the night before.

The two projectiles had landed in open areas near Buq’ata, causing no damage.

While Israel’s military does not, as a rule, comment on specific strikes in Syria, it has admitted to conducting hundreds of sorties against Iran-backed terror groups attempting to gain a foothold in the country over the last decade.

The Israeli military says it attacks arms shipments believed to be bound for those groups, chief among them Lebanon’s Hezbollah. Additionally, Arclight airstrike

the frequent exchanges of fire continued along the Lebanese border where several rockets were fired at IDF posts, and the Iron Dome intercepted a "suspicious aerial target" that entered Israeli airspace, triggering sirens in several communities in the Upper Galilee, the military said.

One of the posts near Moshav Mattat suffered damage in the rocket attack, and a number of injuries were reported at the scene.

Troops responded with artillery shelling at the sources of the fire and other terror targets in southern Lebanon, the military said.

The Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group grabbed credit for the attacks and claimed that they fired a Burkan heavy rocket at the Mattat post.

Additionally, the IDF stated it carried out a dronezap on a group of armed operatives in the contested Mount Dov area on the Lebanon border overnight.

Since the Israel-Hamas

war began on October 7, when thousands of faceless myrmidons massacred some 1,200 people in Israel and took some 240 hostages, Israel’s northern front on the border with Lebanon has heated up under constant Hezbollah-led attacks. Daily exchanges of fire with Hezbollah, Hamas and other terror groups are raising fears of a broader conflagration.

Thursday marked the fourth Israeli civilian death along the northern front. The 60-year-old man, identified as Eyal Uzan, was hit in his vehicle by an anti-tank missile in an agricultural field near Moshav Mattat, and was later declared dead from his wounds.

Six soldiers have also been killed along the border with Lebanon since October 7.

More than 110 people have been killed on the Lebanese side, mostly Hezbollah fighters and more than a dozen civilians, according to an AFP tally. Hezbollah has said that 79 of its members have been killed since the war’s outbreak in southern Lebanon.
Update at 4:55 p.m. ET: One of the targets was Hassan Ali Daqduq, son of senior Hezbollah member Ali Daqduq. See here.

Is 'said' being used as a synonym for 'allegedly' or do they mean four guys named (Mohamed probably) Sa'id got waxed?
