The situation was calm on Monday morning with no statement regarding the attack from Southwest state authorities and the ATMIS command in Mogadishu.
For the past few days, al-Shabaab clashed with Æthiopian forces in the vicinity of the town which faces a blockade for over 10 years due to the presence of the AU and Somali troops.
