Another factual recognition of the huge losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are measured in hundreds of thousands. Now there are estimates from 300,000 to 400,000 irrevocable losses. My best guess is that those numbers are inflated by a factor of two. They come from retired US Colonel Douglas MacGregor, and from his contacts within the Russian and European military greybeard community.
All that said, my other best guess is that the Ukrainian casualty numbers for the Russian military are inflated by a factor of at least seven. These people would be alive if not for the Euromaidan and NATO expansion to the east. Otherwise, hundreds of thousands more will die.
