[GlobalEspresoTV] Tehran plans to supply short- and long-range missiles to Moscow in addition to Shahed-type “kamikaze” drones, which Russia is actively using in the war against Ukraine.
Mossad Director David Barnea shared the information, the Times of Israel reports.
According to Barnea, previous similar agreements to provide Russia with missiles were disrupted.
Instead, Iran may receive from the Russians the weapons it needs to attack Israel.
"Our fear is that the Russians will transfer to the Iranians in return what they lack, advanced weapons that will certainly endanger our peace and maybe even our existence here," Barnea said.
COOPERATION BETWEEN IRAN AND RUSSIA
Back in November 2022, the media reported that Russian terrorists and their partners from Iran had allegedly agreed to jointly produce drones for use in the war against Ukraine. Russian leader Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of a system for training specialists in the development and production of drones.
In February 2023, the Western media again reported that Iran and Russia were holding secret talks on the construction of a plant for the production of “kamikaze” drones. At the time, Iran denied this information.
On August 16, British intelligence indicated that Russia had apparently begun using drones of its own production.
The Washington Post, citing internal documents between Iran and Russia, reported that the Shahed factory in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan, Russia, plans to produce 6,000 “kamikaze” drones by 2025.
And in late August, Defense Express reported that Russia plans to increase the production of Shahed drones by 100-180 per month.
