Local sources said that the festivities erupted between the tribes of Al Fajeh and the coalition’s recruits in the city.
The sources confirmed that the tribes of Al Fajeh were able to reach the area of the historical throne of Belqis before tribal mediation led by "Sheikh Nasser Ali Aushan" intervened to stop the festivities between the two parties.
On June 23, the city of Ma’rib witnessed battles between members of the Moslem Brüderbund-affiliated Islah Party and members of Al Fajeh tribe in Wadi Obeida, which resulted in the killing and wounding of more than 30 people, including Mubarak Talib Ibn Aqar, one of the tribal sheikhs in Ma’rib.
