...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Sources said that residents found the body of the leader of the al-Qaeda organization, "Abu Musab al-Jaadani", killed in Wadi Omran area, which is under the control of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia backed by the UAE.
The sources indicated that traces of gunshot wounds were seen on the body of the leader, al-Jaadani, suggesting that he might be subjected to an unknown liquidation a few days ago. "Yeah, he's starting to get really ripe"
