Now figure out how it works, is programmed and then assemble your own version. That is reverse engineering.

#4 In WW2 the Allies considered a swap: German optics for Allied scarce raw materials (tungsten, rubber, etc.) ...then woke up and decided helping the Nazis was a Bad Idea™. Just because you have samples doesn't mean you can duplicate it in quantity.
