Leonid Polyakov : The only question here is to select a professional team that is in the know and that perfectly understands the whole set of factors that determine the situation with a special military operation. These should be both political scientists and professional experts in the military field.

The history of the NWO should be told to the children thoroughly, but at the same time in a simple and understandable language. If everything is turned into a complex expert note, then this will not work. However, on the other hand, if everything is turned into a banal story in the style of “we are for all the good against all the bad”, then this will not work either.

IA REGNUM: But will they have time? After all, there is not much time left.

L.P .: I think that if you get down to business now, then it is quite possible. Another question is that there is a production process, and in order for the textbook to reach schools by September 1, it is necessary to work literally 24 hours a day. The pace must be taken shock. But the concept should be clear, understandable, professional, but set out in a language that is accessible to children of senior school age.

IA REGNUM: You say that it is necessary to select a professional team of political scientists and military experts who are able to talk about the SVO, on the one hand, professionally, and on the other, in an accessible format for schoolchildren. Do you think the ministry has such a team ?

L.P .: If you strain, you can find it.

IA REGNUM: Just when you listen to some participants in political talk shows, doubts arise ...

L.P .: If you focus only on those who speak at public venues and want only to speak out in a catchy way, then, of course, there is no need for such people. There should be a normal analyst capable of expressing his thoughts in human language. I do not want to discredit my colleagues in the shop, but the tradition of "think tanks" - analytical groups is still weak in our country, as well as the habit of serious in-depth analysis. So the task is very difficult. But I still hope that such a team can be assembled. It is necessary to realize a creative task with an unpredictable result.

IA REGNUM: What should the authors of this new textbook take into account when telling children about a special military operation ?

L.P .: In my opinion, there should be a completely clear explanation: why and why. It is most important. Why was a special operation necessary? Because many adults have the idea that “we attacked” in their heads. This idea dominates in the West, in Ukraine itself and among many Russian citizens. Many people think so. Nothing like this should be. No "we attacked". We were attacked in 2014! We did not start, but we decided to put an end to this terrible, tragic event that dragged on for eight years and whose victims were hundreds, thousands of people in the Donbass.

All this should be stated without any capriciousness. The complexity of the situation must be reflected. After all, it is not so much about the confrontation with Ukraine, but about the confrontation with the collective West and specifically with NATO. This creates a completely new, fundamentally new situation.

The topic of confrontation of a new type has not yet been truly disclosed anywhere at the level of socio-psychological theory. There are different versions: “hybrid war”, “third world war”. In other words, there is still a selection of terminology that allows us to describe what is happening. This should be done at a level that is accessible to students.

And finally, goals. Starting with the fact that it was announced about demilitarization and denazification, and then it went to the level of whether Russia will survive or not. However, in addition to a history textbook that deals with this topic, there should also be a textbook on social science, in which the situation can be covered more broadly.

IA REGNUM: What will be the fundamental difference between the two approaches ?

L.P .: In a textbook on social science, one can reveal the international global context and describe the logic of all the participants involved in this process. For example, the very situation in 2014, when the Maidan happened in Kyiv. The situation must be specifically described: why this event happened, what kind of event it is, why it led to an eight-year war, why NATO "fit in" for Ukraine, why the question is raised that the West cannot lose this war and firmly decided to defeat Russia .

In other words, a global approach should be used. Such a textbook on social science should not be a collection of quotes from all the social sciences, which must be memorized to pass the exam and which are forgotten a minute after this exam is passed. The textbook should become the teacher of life. He must explain what is happening in the world today, what it means for Russia, who is participating in the struggle for influence, for hegemony.

IA REGNUM: Don't you think that the most important question is: is it necessary to create a history textbook with a section on a special military operation until the SVO itself is over?

L.P .: That's the right question. In a history textbook, one lesson can be devoted to this, in which the main thing is explained. But seriously, analytically, this should be in a social science textbook. And here it does not matter whether the SVO is over or not. It is important that they understand why it began, what goals have been put forward, and the course of this military operation itself must be presented at least in general positions.
