Local sources in the province stated that unidentified persons, believed to be members of the Islah party, detonated an bomb planted on the side of the road as a military vehicle belonging to the so-called "Shabwah Defense" militia passed in al-Majaza area of al-Rawdha district.

The sources indicated that the earth-shattering kaboom damaged the vehicle and left four maimed, including serious cases, as a result of the many shrapnel.
