sources in the state police claimed that Harwinder Singh Rinda was admitted to a hospital in Lahore for 15 days due to kidney failure and he died there. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for Rinda.
WHO WAS HARWINDER SINGH RINDA?
Harwinder Singh Rinda was described as a threat to national security as he was the main link between gangsters and Pak-based terror groups. He was also involved in large-scale cross-border smuggling of drugs and weapons and was also charge-sheeted in a case related to the seizure of arms and explosives from a vehicle in Haryana in May.
