Military sources close to Ahrar al-Sham told North Press that the security forces affiliated to the HTS arrested the leader of Liwa al-Adyat, affiliated to Ahrar al-Sham, Abu Jaffar al-Hamwi, and the leader of al-Harari factions in al-Maghawir brigade, affiliated to Ahrar al-Sham, Abu al-Zahra’ al-Ghab.
On November 9, five brigades and battalions of the Ottoman Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), announced dismissing the leader of Ahrar al-Sham faction, Amer al-Sheikh, and designating Youssef al-Hamwi, nicknamed Abu Suliman, as a general commander.
The arrest was carried out due to supporting the secession of the founding part of Ahrar al-Sham from the group led by Amer al-Sheikh, affiliated with the HTS, according to the sources.
