Syrian air defences repel Israeli aggression on vicinity of Hama, Tartous
|
 [HODHODYEMENNEWS] The Syrian army air defences repelled on Thursday an Israeli missile aggression that targeted the surroundings of Hama and Tartous.
A military source said that at nearly 19.15 p.m. on Thursday, the army air defences repelled an Israeli missile aggression from the direction of the sea to the south-west of Tartous.
"Most of the aggression missiles that targeted the surroundings of Hama and Tartous were downed," the source said.
It added that the attack injured two civilians, caused material losses and set fires to different areas.

A Syrian opposition war monitor _ the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights _ said the airstrikes targeted Iran-backed militias' positions and warehouses in the area.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) claimed that missile targeted the positions of Iran-backed militia. It also reported multiple explosions and a fire in Massyaf, Hama, following the attack.
According to the monitor, "military headquarters, sites, and warehouses for weapons and ammunition belonging to the Iranian militias" were the target of what it labeled "Israeli bombardment."
There was no confirmation by Israel though it rarely comments on Arclight airstrike

The attack comes hours after the US said it killed four suspected Iran-backed holy warriors and destroyed seven rocket launchers in Syria.
