Turkish Forces Attack Village In Syria’s Hasakah

[NPASyrai] ~~Ottoman~~ Turkish forces targeted on Sunday a village, west of the town of Derbasiyah, northeast Syria, with two mortar shells, amid flight by of reconnaissance planes over the area.

A military source told North Press that two ~~Ottoman~~ Turkish mortar shells fell on lands in the village of Jatali, 1km west of Derbasiyah north of Hasakah governorate.

This came in tandem with intensive flight of ~~Ottoman~~ Turkish reconnaissance aircrafts over the area, according to eyewitnesses.

announced plans to carry out another major military cross-border incursion into northern Syria.

Erdogan specified his targets in the two northern Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat.

"The time has come to clear these lands from the terrorist organizations," Erdogan threatened during Tehran Summit.

Since Tehran summit, on July 19, that brought together presidents of each of Iran, Russia and Turkey, the latter has been escalating shelling of northeastern Syria, ignoring signed ceasefire agreements.

Following the ~~Ottoman~~ Turkish incursion in October 2019, Turkey signed two ceasefire agreements, one with Russia and the other with the US stipulating ceasing all hostilities and the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) 32 km away from the ~~Ottoman~~ Turkish border.
