HTS Targets Syria’s Northwest Five Times – Russian Reconciliation Center

On Monday, the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria, affiliated with the Russian Defense Ministry, announced that it had recorded five cases of shelling by militants of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) in the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
The deputy head of the Russian Reconciliation Center Rear Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev said, “During the last day, five cases of shelling by the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra (al-Nusra Front) were recorded in the de-escalation zone.”
“Two shelling operations were recorded in Aleppo Governorate, two in Idlib Governorate, and one in Hama,” he added.
On May 15, the Russian Reconciliation Center announced that a Syrian soldier was wounded in shelling by HTS militants in the de-escalation zone in Idlib.
