Afghanistan death toll in 'Pakistan strikes' rises to at least 47, Talib gov’t warns Pakistan of consequences

...KABOOM!...
s in the eastern Afghanistan provinces of Khost and Kunar has risen to at least 47, officials said on Sunday.

"Forty-one civilians, mainly women, and children, were killed and 22 others were maimed in airstrikes by Pak forces near the Durand line in Khost province
... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name...
," Shabir Ahmad Osmani, director of information and culture in Khost told AFP about the strikes that took place on Saturday.

Two other officials confirmed the corpse count in Khost, while an Afghan official said on Saturday six people were killed in Kunar province
... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country.....
The Pak military has so far not offered any comment on the strikes, but on Sunday the foreign ministry in Islamabad urged the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
authorities in Kabul to take "stern actions" against holy warriors launching attacks against Pakistain from Afghan soil.

Border tensions between Pakistain and Afghanistan have risen since the Taliban seized power last year, with Islamabad claiming turban groups are carrying out regular attacks from Afghan soil.

The Taliban deny harboring Pak holy warriors but are also infuriated by a fence Islamabad is erecting along their 2,700-kilometre (1,600-mile) border.

Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
authorities warned Pakistain on Saturday after five children and a woman were killed in Afghanistan in alleged rocket attacks by the Pak forces in a pre-dawn assault along the border.

"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan condemns in the strongest possible terms the bombardment and attack that has taken place from the Pakistain side on the soil of Afghanistan," government front man Zabihullah Mujahid told news hounds in an audio message.

"This is a cruelty and it is paving the way for enmity between Afghanistan and Pakistain ... We are using all options to prevent repetitions (of such attacks) and calling for our illusory sovereignty to be respected," he said.

"The Pak side should know that if a war starts it will not be in the interest of any side. It will cause instability in the region."

Pak military officials were not immediately available for comment.
Would these be the same Pak military officials who officered the Talib Reconquista last year, as the Americans withdrew?
