Somali army repulses Al-Shabaab attack

attack on Saturday morning, officials said, in the latest crackdown against the bad boys, who control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.
According to senior military sources, the officers successfully repulsed an attack waged by the al-Qaeda linked group in Hudur, the regional capital of Bakool region in Somalia after hours of a fierce shootout.
The town is guarded by Æthiopian National Defense Forces [ENDF] who serve in the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Mission in Somalia [AMISOM]. It's not clear if the Æthiopian troops took part in responding to the al-Shabaab attack but they closely work with SNA soldiers.
A military official from Sector 60 said five bully boyz were killed and six others critically injured. The SNA soldiers and their partners did not suffer any casualties, the official added without giving many details.
The military also went on to display bodies of the bully boyz in the town as they appreciated residents for being active in the war against al-Shabaab bad boys. They asked locals to work closely with officials.
