Drug ring involved at least eight men who worked 'round-the-clock,' according to federal prosecutors

Investigators said they operated a 24-hour open-air crack cocaine market in Hell's Kitchen near Times Square

Authorities said they dealt drugs from at least December 2019 until last month, when authorities busted ring

Times Square has been plagued by a spate of gun violence this past spring and through the summer

Last month, a 23-year-old woman was slashed in the area after she ignored a male assailant's catcalls

In June, a 16-year-old boy allegedly shot and wounded an enlistee of the Marine Corps, 21, in Times Square

In May, three innocent bystanders were struck by stray bullets after gunshots rang out in broad daylight

In April, a tourist from Kansas City was struck in the shoulder by a stray bullet in the area
