Roadside bombs claim lives of policemen in Nangarhar, Ghor
[KhaamaPress] Local officials in Ghor said Hamidullah Hassanzada, Police chief for PD2 of the provincial police HQ was killed along with one of his men in a roadside kaboom blast.

Zalmai Karimi, spokesperson for the Ghor governor said the incident took place in Kendwal area of Firuzkuh, the bucolic provincial capital.

According to Karimi three other security force members were also maimed in the incident.

Hassanzada was reportedly targeted by a roadside IED when he tried to prevent the Taliban

The police chief was maimed, however, one of his bodyguards was killed in the incident, media reported.

A child was also among the victims, local media reported. An investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the attack as the family did not had any personal enmity.

These incidents come as Ministry of defense tweeted that 143 Taliban were killed during separate missions across Afghanistan in the past 24 hours.
