A blurb by the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Court said, "the operation targeted the Commander of Saladin regiments. It ended up killing a civilian and injuring the General along with 33 of his close protection operatives."

"The gang planted a false bomb as a distraction, and the [actual] bomb was triggered when the security forces gathered around the car."

Saladin Criminal Court issued a death sentence
