Taliban battered across Afghanistan, 110 killed
|
[KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Defense says that in the past 24 hours festivities between Afghan security force members and the Talibs resulted in heavy government opposition casualties.
MoD in a released statement on Monday said that at least 110 Talibs were killed and 81 others were maimed in festivities and counter-attacks by Afghan national defense and security forces.
The released bulletin added a large number of weapons and ammunition belonging to the Taliban

were also destroyed.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Afghan national army discovered and defused 135 mines planted by the Taliban in different parts of the country.
The skirmishes between the Taliban and government forces took place in Ghazni, Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
