Afghan Forces Retake Key District in Kandahar, At Least 75 Turbans Toes Up

Some parts of the district were under Taliban influence over the last few months, according to officials.
Mines have been planted along roads connected to the district, which will delay the return of displaced people to their homes.
The Arghandab district is close to the city of Kandahar.
"Arghandab is a populous district. We used high precision to avoid harm to the people," said Sarbuland, a commander of the special forces battalion in Kandahar.
Arghandab residents said they are waiting to return to their homes.
"The festivities have been underway in the last four months," said Shafi Ahmad, a resident of Arghandab district.
Clearance operations in Kandahar claim 75 Taliban militants: MoD

According to the Ministry of Defense, a vehicle loaded with explosives was also destroyed during the raid, and another vehicle was targeted in an Arclight airstrike

The Defense Ministry claimed that Talibs wanted to use these vehicles to target civilians and public facilities in the region.
Afghan security force members also discovered and defused 32 IEDs planted by the Taliban in Arghandab district, this move has saved many civilian and military lives.
Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
