MoD calls for ‘vengeance’ following the attack on ANA helicopter

[KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Defense on Saturday has pledged to take Dire Revenge for the attack on a military helicopter in Maidan Wardak.
A front man for the Ministry of Defense, Fawad Aman has told media that based on the investigations and evidence, the Afghan Air Force helicopter was shot down by Alipur’s militia in Behsud.
Fawad Aman said MoD will "Dire Revenge the attacks at any cost".
The attack happened on Thursday at around 1 am when ANA helicopters were transferring security force members, equipment, and food.One of the choppers was shot down by Alipur militias in the Behsud district of Maidan Wardak.
According to reports Alipur is a local militia man in the region reportedly backed by outsiders to disrupt security situations.
Local militia commander Alipoor has admitted that his men had downed the chopper in Maidan Wardak province.
Nine security personnel, including two pilots and four special forces members, were killed in the incident, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Sources said that four army helicopters were supplying Afghan forces in Behsud district, Maidan Wardak province, early after midnight on Thursday, but one of them was attacked and was downed.
A senior security source tells TOLOnews that the helicopter was attacked by a laser-guided weapon by militias loyal to Alipoor in Behsud district.
