Israel arrests Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Ekrima Sabri

on Wednesday, according to the official Paleostinan news agency WAFA.
WAFA reported that Sheikh Sabri was arrested at his home in al Sawana neighbourhood in east Jerusalem.
The arrest of al-Aqsa Mosque preacher comes a day ahead of Moslem commemoration of Isra and Miraj, which is expected to be marked by special prayer at the third holiest site in Islam.
Israel has arrested Sheikh Sabri, a vocal critic of normalisation with Israel, on several occasions in the past.
