South Dakota AG charged with three motoring misdemeanors

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]- Jason Ravnsborg has been charged with misdemeanor careless driving
- He also faces misdemeanor charges of operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile electronic device and veering out of his lane
- Ravnsborg mowed down 55-year-old Jason Boever with his car in September while driving from a Republican fundraiser
- He initially told authorities he thought he hit a deer but returned to the scene the next morning and realized he hit a man
- Emily Sovell, deputy Hyde County state's attorney, said the evidence didn't support more serious felony charges such as vehicular homicide
- Ravnsborg has said he is confident he did not commit a crime, and that he was not drinking before the crash
- Boever's family has questioned Ravnsborg's account, and expressed frustration at the five-month wait to hear whether he would face charges
