NDS said in a statement, that the operation was taken out by a special unit in PD7 of Jalalabad city, the operation resulted in the death of seven gunnies including a jacket wallah.
The statement indicated the gunnies have used civilians as humans shields, fortunately, no civilian was hurt during the raid.
ISIS gunnies planned to carry out various types of attacks including "suicide and coordinated" offensives on the government facilities in the city of Nangarhar province.
This plan was rebuffed and the attacks were thwarted by the NDS, the statement read.
Following the killings of two ISIS members in PD6 of the Jalalabad city, in this operation, a boom jacket, three AK 47 rifles, 20 grenades, an RPG round, and some explosives were seized.
This comes as five coppers were killed and maimed in separate attacks in Zabul and Uruzgan provinces.

In another incident, one policeman was killed and the other was maimed in a magnetic IED that targeted their vehicle in Tarinkot city of Uruzgan province.
In a similar incident, one policeman was killed and two others were maimed when the Taliban launched their offensive attack on a security outpost in Pato district of Daikundi province.
According to local officials, the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
