Two more arrests in Austria over Vienna attack
|
[AlAhram] Austrian prosecutors said Sunday that another two suspects have been arrested for alleged involvement in the November 2 terrorist attack in Vienna.
The two men -- one of whom is a 26-year-old Austrian of Afghan origin -- were arrested on Friday, a spokeswoman for the prosecutors' office told AFP.
She declined to reveal the nationality of the other suspect.
A request would be made later on Sunday for them to be held until trial, the spokeswoman added.

That would be Kujtim Fejzulai, under the nom de guerre of Abu Dujana al-Albani the very connected, known wolf who ran around a few blocks of Jewish Vienna in a fake bomb vest shooting at people for nine whole minutes before the police shot him down like a rabid dog, all for love of ISIS. He was armed for the occasion with a Serbian assault rifle, a Soviet-type handgun, a machete, and Serbian and Chinese ammunition. He was deradicalized after returning from fighting in Syria, but clearly it didn’t take... Eighteen people have since been detained in Austria and Switzerland

in connection with the attack and the government also ordered the closure of two mosques in Vienna frequented by the attacker.
They are the Melit Ibrahim mosque in the Ottakring district and the Tewhid mosque in the Meidling area. It was at the independent Melit Ibrahim mosque that our lad joined the international German-speaking jihadi network around Mirsad Omerovic, head of a Bosnian jihadi group in Vienna and prolific recruiter for the international jihadi pipeline — over 160 sent on to ISIS alone before he was arrested in 2015. The Tewhid mosque is under the jurisdiction of the Islamic Religious Community (IGGÖ), the largest Islamic community organisation in Austria, beholden to Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood. Both mosques were supposed to have been closed two years ago under Austria’s Islam Law. Until the deadly shooting, the country of 8.9 million people had in recent decades been spared the shock and mayhem wreaked by major terrorist attacks.
