Child's Family Say Kidnappers Wore Military Uniforms

[ToloNews] The mother of Abdul Rauf, an 8-year-old kidnapped in Afghanistan’s northern Balkh province, has lost the energy to talk after the abduction a month ago in Mazar-e-Sharif city.
The child’s family members have said that the kidnappers were wearing military uniforms on the day they kidnapped Abdul Rauf.
Real soldiers in their own uniforms; former real soldiers in their own uniforms who’ve gone to the bad, whether to the Taliban, etc. or plain vanilla bandits; and, of course, fake soldiers wearing fake uniforms: jihadis of some sort, plain vanilla bandits, enemies of little Abdul Rauf’s father or other relations or associates — so many possibilities when a country is involved in a war of all against all... Abdul Rauf’s family have been persistently urging the Afghan security and intelligence agencies to help recover their child.
Abdul Rauf was in a car going to school when the kidnappers stopped the car and kidnapped him.

Gazal has stopped going to school after the incident.
"They asked: 'Who are the children of Haji Nabi?' then we became frightened and we told them our names, they told us that they would take us to our father, then they took my brother from the car, I tried to pull my brother back but they hit me with a gun in my stomach and shoulder, I shouted, but no one came to our help," said Gazal.
"It was a (Toyota) Corolla car without a number plate, there were four people inside the car including two women, they had military uniforms and masks," Gazal added.
"Maybe there is something vague there, there might a secret and they don’t want it to be disclosed. If our security and intelligence agencies can't find a child after 33 days, then it is their great failure and weakness," said Abdul Rahman, Abdul Rauf’s grandfather.
"Five operations were launched in suspected areas by the intelligence agencies, but they did not manage to have any success, but our technical team will come from Kabul soon and they cooperate with us," said Munir Farhad, a front man for the Balkh police headquarters.
