Palestinian cause a priority for Cairo: Egypt's Sisi
|
[AlAhram] El-Sisi met with the Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
in Cairo on Monday.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi conveyed to Paleostinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday his "full support" for the PA's position on political reconciliation, a statement by the Egyptian presidency read.
That’s nice. But the Isrqelis have the upper hand now, having peeled off most of the Oalestinian’s moneyed friends, so the rest of you can posture ineffectually as much as you like. Presidency Spokesman Bassam Rady said El-Sisi received Abbas in Cairo in a meeting attended by Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Shoukry, head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel, his Paleostinian counterpart Maged Farag, and the Paleostinian ambassador in Cairo.
...who, it appears, is nameless. How very sad for him. El-Sisi stressed that the Paleostinian cause will always be a priority for Cairo,
...a low priority, ‘tis true, but a priority nonetheless... affirming continued efforts to retrieve the legitimate rights of the Paleostinian people according to international legitimacy.
Golly. That does sound impressive. He added the current stage calls for intensifying Arab efforts to resume peace negotiations between the Paleostinians and Israelis.
Effort away! Abbas affirmed the importance of consultations and coordination with El-Sisi over developments in the Paleostinian crisis.
He said he appreciates Cairo’s efforts, historic positions, and firm stand in supporting the Paleostinian cause, and its endeavours to preserve the Paleostinians’ rights and achieve national unity.
And such endeavours they have been, too. Completely unsuccessful on all fronts, sadly, but endeavours none the same. El-Sisi and Abbas agreed to continue intensified coordination to follow up on the latest measures to break the current deadlock and resume peace talks.
Time is an arrow, and y’all chose to miss your last opportunity before the President Trump changed the world irrevocably. The meeting comes one day after El-Sisi discussed the Paleostinian issue with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in a phone call. The two leaders exchanged views on means to revive the grinding of the peace processor in the Middle East.
