Police Chief for Obe District Killed in Ambush

, was killed in an ambush attack carried on Monday morning, said the front man for the provincial police chief, Abdul Ahad Walizada.
According to Walizada, the incident occurred at Obe, about 15km far from the center of the district, when Taliban

attacked Alkozai’s vehicle.
The local officials did not provide further details, but said at least one security forces were maimed during festivities.
Taliban did not immediately comment on the claim.
The incident came hours after an Afghan National Army vehicle was stormed in western province of Herat, killing at least one and maimed further four forces.
