AAF Foils Taliban Attack in Zabul Province

[KhaamaPress] Afghan Air Force (AAF) foiled an attempted attack against the security post in Shamalzoi district of Zabul province in south Afghanistan, said the Ministry of Defense in a statement Sunday morning.
Officials did not provide further details on the status of the operation carried by AAF but said at least 10 Talibs have been killed and further eight have been maimed during festivities.

were killed and 8 others were maimed in Shamalzoi district of Zabul province, last night," said the MoD in a tweet.
According to the statement, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) had been the main target, but forces were able to foil the Taliban’s ominous plot.
"They were planning to attack #ANDSF positions when targeted by #AAF," the tweet added.
