Seven Killed in Three Separate Incidents in Kabul in 24 Hours
[ToloNews] At least seven people, including security force members and civilians, were killed in three separate incidents in the city of Kabul in the last 24 hours, according to police.

One of the incidents happened in Lab-e-Jar area in the north of Kabul on Wednesday morning in which an IED blast targeted a police vehicle and killed three coppers and a civilian, police said in a statement.

The IED targeted a vehicle carrying Abdul Nasir Danish, a unit commander of the PD11, police said.

Another incident happened in the east of Kabul in which an officer of the 203 Thunder Army Corps and his lover companion were killed in an attack by unknown gunnies in the east of Kabul near Bagrami district, according to Kabul police.

Interior Ministry front man Tariq Aryan said that Bagrami police chief was swiftly fired from the job over negligence and several other senior police personnel were asked to appear for investigation.

In another incident, a teenage girl was killed after a group of gunnies opened fire on each other after a verbal clash.

The Afghan First Vice President Amrullah Saleh said that police in PD12 of Kabul arrested two suspects who were keeping illegal arms.

Saleh said that Allah Gul Mujahid, an MP from Kabul, tried to intimidate the police commander in the area over the arrests.

"How powerful this first vice president is? I represent the people of Kabul, I don’t care about anyone. There are around 100,000 people under my command," Mujahid said in the parliament session on Wednesday, reacting to the remarks by the first vice president.

Kabul has witnessed a dramatic rise in crime incidents and assassinations in recent weeks.

Critics blame intelligence failures and lack of commitment by relevant institutions to fix the fragile situation in the nation’s capital.

Saleh has said that the findings of the National Directorate of Security
...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS) show that members of the civil society institutions have become soft targets of the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
.

The Taliban has not commented on Saleh’s statement.
