On the other hand, MOD reports 14 Taliban were killed and 9 others were maimed after they attacked ANDSF positions in Dahrawod district of Uruzgan Province, last night. As a result of the airstrikes, three of the Taliban strongholds in the region were also destroyed.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
Southern province of Helmand last month witnessed attacks by Talibs on large scale and in various parts of the area.
Taliban attacks on Helmand province provoked many reactions and condemnations and displaced nearly 40,000 people.
