American driver is arrested after more than 100 migrants from Central America and Mexico are found crammed into a stolen tractor trailer without masks in Texas

117 migrants from Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala were detained in Laredo, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon

The bust took place during an inspection of the stolen truck and trailer at a checkpoint on Interstate Highway 35

A CBP canine unearthed the human trafficking scheme while it paced around the truck during a secondary inspection

The driver, a United States citizen with a criminal background, was also arrested
