Sanaullah Rohani, front man for the Badakhshan police, said the armed government opposition Sunday night attacked Jorm district of Badakhshan province, surrounding the area. But suffered heavy retaliation by Afghan forces.
According to Rohani, the festivities started at around 5 p.m. Sunday and lasted until 11 p.m., warding off at least three of separate attacks.
