German police threaten Israeli with crime for show of Israeli flag
Some years ago Frankfurt am Main — definitely not the other Frankfurt in East Germany on the Oder River— was the proud possessor of a Jewish mayor. It sounds like he was not reelected.
[Jpost] German Moslems call young Israeli musician a ’Nazi’

The police in the German city of Frankfurt launched a criminal investigation against the young Israeli musician Ana Agre for her display of an Israeli flag at an anti-Jewish state demonstration organized by a pro-BDS group that supports convicted Paleostinian terrorists.

The prominent German-Israeli author Chaim Noll on Friday first reported on the popular German website "The Axis of Good" about the threatened criminal case against Agre, an Israeli musician who works in Germany.

According to Noll, "On July 1st, 2020, she ran into an anti-Israel-demonstration close to her home, arranged by the pro-Paleostinian organization Samidoun. She went upstairs into her flat to fetch an Israeli flag and took position on the square where the protesters were marching along, together with their German supporters."

The flag, wrote Noll, was "about the size of a kitchen towel." Samidoun is an organization that seeks to secure the release of convicted Paleostinian murderous Moslems from prison and supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel.

Noll reported that a Frankfurt "police officer addressed her in English, recorded her identity and advised her to leave the location for reasons of her appearance being provocative to the young Moslems."

He continued that "Ana obviously indulged in a discussion with the police officer, in English, who finally ended the debate by officially ordering her to leave. When she would ask him why, here in Frankfurt, she was not allowed to display the flag of Israel, the officer responded: "Because I don’t like it."’

According to Noll, "Several of the marching groups approached Ana and overdrew her with slogans, among them ’Nazis out.’ In the minds of these young Moslems and their German supporters, an Israeli flag apparently is a Nazi symbol."

He said "A few days later a paper hit her postbox, summoning her to the Frankfurt criminal police headquarters because of an ’offense according to Criminal Code, paragraph 185,’ scheduled October 7th, 2020.

He commented about the criminal proceeding against Agre that she "is threatened by legal prosecution because she was displaying the flag of Israel in Frankfurt am Main, Germany... the police takes the position of the Moslem protesters and their German scene of support."

The city of Frankfurt is located in the state of Hesse and is the election district for controversial German Green Party MP Omid Nouripour, who is on the advisory board of pro-Boycott Israel entity, the German Paleostinian Society. The pro-BDS group has, in an art exhibit, called for the abolition of Israel. Nouripour declined to answer a Post query about Agre's case. German-Iranian dissidents have accused him of stoking racism and antisemitism.

Dutch city names as its poet a rapper who called Holocaust a ‘joke’

[Jpost] A Dutch city named as its resident poet a rapper who in a 2012 song called the Holocaust a "cover up for dumb sheep" and a "joke" compared to slavery.

The office of Jos Wienen, the mayor of Haarlem, a city of about 160,000 residents that is the capital of the Dutch province of North Holland, announced Darryl Danchelo Osenga’s title of city poet on Wednesday, sparking passionate protests from Dutch Jews and non-Jews.

Osenga, whose stage name is Insayno, "will give the institution of city poet a new direction," the statement on the honorary nomination read. "His poems overflow with love for language and for the city of Haarlem." The city gives the honor every other year to a different artist.

In a statement, the Center for Information and Documentation on Israel, or CIDI, expressed its "shock" at the decision, citing his 2012 song "Black Page," among other objections.

In that track, Insayno says: "Only talking about the war. The Holocaust is just a cover-up for dumb sheep. I see you think, this can’t be: Eight million Jews? I’m talking about 18 million slaves. The treatment at the concentration camps is just a little joke in comparison with our slave trade. Gassing people, that’s also sad but just for laughs you should learn about torture."

The municipality of Haarlem said in a reaction to the protests that the mayor spoke with Insayno on the subject and that he had apologized and distanced himself from the poem. "He deserves a second chance," the statement said.

#3 The police is actually organized on the state level and doesn't answer to the mayor of Frankfurt.

Political responsibility lies with the Hessian state executive.

However Feldmann is a Social Democrat; his party is no more friendly to Israel than the Hessian governing coalition (CDU (Merkel) & Green Party.)
