DNC convention flops - Cornel West discusses the 'Peoples Convention'

[The Hill] Cornel West discussed the goals of the upcoming "People’s Convention" during an interview with The Hill.TV’s "Rising" on Thursday, the fourth day of the Republican National Convention.

"I think we have to provide some kind of alternative to the neo-fascist wing of the ruling class Republican Party and the neo-liberal wing of the ruling class of the Democratic Party," West said.

will take place on Sunday between 4 and 6 p.m. Eastern.

West is scheduled to headline the convention, which comes after the conclusion of the two major party conventions.

The People's Party said the convention will feature "thousands of Americans from all walks of life" to discuss the nation. The convention will be broadcast live on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

#4 I believe we are seeing the parties re-align. Elites fled the GOP and moved to DEMS in time to see them spinning apart with different interest groups making demands that American just won't accept and the corrupt oldsters trying to partially placate and keep things together.

As things progress we'll probably see the Democrats cancelled for their vile racial history.

In 2024 we'll probably have a socialist party versus GOP. It'll be interesting to see the NeverTrumpers try to come back to the GOP after Trump is gone. I for one won't forgive them.

#5 Let them vote for the Republican instead of the Socialist, and let them donate money, if they’ve a mind to do so, but definitely don’t listen to them for a while or offer them jobs.. Whatsisname, the former Fox pundit, just admitted he was horribly wrong to turn up his nose at Donald Trump in 2016, so others could come round eventually, too. But getting it wrong twice is a very different error of judgement than realizing they’d got it wrong the first time.
