Landmine Blast Claims Lives of 12 Members of a Family

[KhaamaPress] At least 12 members of a family killed, as a twin blast went off in Loy Karez area of Spin Boldak district, local authorities confirmed.

According to sources, the family were heading for wedding ceremony in the area when their vehicle crashed through the landmine previously planted.

At least two further civilians were maimed.

No group or individual has immediately grabbed credit for the attack.

In recent years, most of the landmines are claimed by the Taliban
