FBI: Noose found in Bubba Wallace's NASCAR garage was there since last year

[FOXNEWS] The FBI has determined that a noose found in NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace's garage at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday had been there since at least last year, according to the bureau.

A statement issued by U.S. Attorney Jay E. Town said that an investigation has concluded that no federal crime was committed.

"The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019," the bureau said. "Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week."

Further details were not immediately released. The FBI said no charges would be pursued in relation to the incident.

#1 Been there since last year, eh? Certainly an important detail. However...

Missing from this story is the fact that the "noose" turned out to be the pull cord for an overhead garage door. You know, a short length of rope with a loop at one end. Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be journalists.

#8 And as expected, there would be those calling BS on the results. Did not expect it to come from Bubba himself: discussing w/ Don Lemon on CNN he called the evidence photoshopped. As woke as NASCAR has become, that seems unlikely. Wonder if there have been any discussions between Bubba and King Richard on this???
