Defund police? Democrats lead list of those taking cash from police unions
[FoxNews] Numbers published by Open Secrets, which is run by the watchdog Center for Responsive Politics, shows that among current members of the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, a handful of Democrats have received more campaign donations from police groups since 1994 than any other current members by a significant margin.

The top two recipients of contributions from police groups in the Senate are Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn. The top two in the House are Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., D-N.J., and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md.

The numbers come as Democrats in Congress are working to advance the Justice in Policing Act, a bill that would ban police from using chokeholds; pare back "qualified immunity," a doctrine that limits officers liability when they use force on the job; set up a federal task force to prosecute police misconduct cases and more.

Joe and Bernie stand with the police, more or less, and against their party, which should prove amusing.

Microsoft Bans Police Facial Recognition Sales as Big Tech Reacts to Protests
[Newsmax] Microsoft Corp. on Thursday said it would await federal regulation before selling facial recognition to police departments, making it the latest big firm to back away from the surveillance business following protests against police brutality.

The announcement came a day after rival Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) declared it was pausing police use of its "Rekognition" service for a year, while International Business Machines Corp also said this week it no longer is generally offering the software and that technology should not promote racial injustice.

#1 Just because a group of people can code does not mean their code works in the real world. They can actually be disconnected from reality.

They end up in shock mode at first during alpha releases, when their system is introduced to the end user for the first time who often times say, "what the hell is this".

In other words, geeks are by no means the oracle of real world wisdom.

Speak for yourself sir.

My code always worked the very first time it was run. It never bugged out, needed regression testing or ever had a change order.

HELLO was always crystal clear on the screen.

Never any problems in 30+ years, as long as you ignore the piles of dead users left behind.
