Israeli war planes launched an air attack on guerrilla positions in the hills and valleys of Iqlim al-Tuffah, a guerrilla stronghold that faces the Israeli-occupied border enclave. ... Iqlim al-Tuffah is a frequent target for Israeli warplanes, is said to be used extensively by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah guerrilla group.

Israel says it serves as an effective base from which to stage attacks against Israeli troops and their allied militiamen in the occupied zone.
