Two US soldiers missing in action in eastern Syria

[Jpost] Two US soldiers are missing in action after their vehicle was attacked by unknown assailants on Monday near the al-Omar oil field in the Deir Ezzor area of eastern Syria, according to the Syrian state news agency SANA.

The vehicle was found completely destroyed and burned with no sign of the two soldiers.

#3 This happened to a Marine buddy of mine 1965 (Dominican Republic) while I was in Viet Nam.

They got lost in a jeep and were captured by the rebels...he escaped later...
Things can get confusing in some operations and that is how these mishaps happen.
