Major Taliban offensive repulsed in Balkh; 9 militants killed, 4 others wounded

attack in northern Balkh province late on Sunday ngith, the Afghan military in the North said.
According to a statement released by 209th Shaheen Corps, the Talibs launched a major offensive on Baramzid Village in Balkh district on Sunday night.
The statement further added that the security forces responded to the attack with the support of the air power, killing at least 9 Talibs.
The security forces also maimed 4 Death Eaters during the clash which continued for almost two hours, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the clash so far.
