Indonesia police question suspected Islamic militants arrested in Papua

[Jpost] Indonesian anti-terrorism officers are interrogating eight suspected Islamic forces of Evil arrested in the province of Papua on suspicion that they were planning an attack, a police front man said on Wednesday.

The arrest was a "pre-emptive strike" by the anti-terrorism squad earlier this month in several locations in Papua, National Police front man Asep Adi Saputra said in Jakarta.

The suspects have been transferred to Jakarta for questioning, he said. They were suspected of having links to the Islamic State

They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....

Police said the arrests were made after officers had conduced surveillance of meetings between the suspects, as well as training and preparation for suspected attacks.

#1 "a police front man said on Wednesday."

Why the use of the term Front Man? It appears to me the Indonesian Police, are doing A Good Thing By your use of that phrase (which has a negative connotation)you imply they are Not doing the best they can. Could the reason be Conservative PC, where we are not supposed to say anything positive about Muslims/Islam?

This issue has come up before in different contexts, like "maimed" for "wounded". I believe the text substitution got started back when copyright trolls were trying to extort websites. Righthaven was one of them that Rantburg has particular problems with, if memory serves.
