attack in central Daikundi province, the local security officials said.
Gul Aqa Sajadi, a front man for the provincial police headquarters confirmed that eight security personnel bit the dust after a large number of Talibs attacked the security check posts in Kajran district.
He said the Talibs launched the attack at around 1 am local time which lasted for several hours.
According to Sajadi, eight coppers and a soldier of the Afghan national army bit the dust in the attack and four others sustained injuries.

another official said the Afghan forces also inflicted heavy casualties on Talibs but did not elaborate further regarding the exact number.
The official further added that additional forces have arrived in the district and the Afghan forces are in full control of the area.
