Doval’s message to forces: Clean up the terrorists, avoid collateral damage at any cost
Most of the standard politician line about cherishing the locals and protecting them from so much as a stubbed toe deleted. Apparently the big Pakistani infiltration has yet to occur, while Dron66046 and his comrades in arms continue to prowl along the Indian side of the border
[OneIndia] National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval who took stock of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
has advised security forces to be on high alert and also step up operations against terrorists.

The source also said that during the meeting, Doval made it clear that the guard should be upped and operations against bandidos snuffies intensified. He however said that this should not come at the cost of civilian lives and there shall be no collateral damage.
"no collateral damage" is a wish, not a realistic ROE when Pak Jihadis hide with human shields

Further he directed the security forces to put the anti infiltration grid along the Pakistain border on high alert. Doval during his visit to Srinagar held a series of meetings with both security forces and babus bureaucrats. He made it clear that the common people should not suffer and they should be able to go about their routine without fear of terrorists.

Doval's visit to Srinagar covered several aspects. First and foremost it was about the heightened security threats that have been emerging. Further he also took stock of the security situation ahead of October 31, when Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh would be officially made as Union Territories.

Last week there was a also discussions on whether or not to restore mobile services in Jammu and Kashmir. There were reviews on further easing curbs and it was said that mobile services may be restored before the end of this month. An officer had told OneIndia that they are looking into this and all efforts are being made to restore mobile services.

While the administration is keen on restoring mobile services, it would take some time before a decision on the restoration of the internet is taken. We would like to analyse the situation before restoring internet services, the official also said.

A Home Ministry official said that in the current scenario, with the threat perception from Pakistain based bandidos snuffies being high, it would not be advisable to restore internet services. Internet has remained suspended in Jammu and Kashmir from August 4 onwards, a day before the decision to abrogate Article 370 was announced.

While security has been tight, the government towards the end of August decided to ease curbs further. A decision on restoring landline telephone services in most parts of the Valley had also been taken.
A second One India article adds:
The Army and Border Security Force (BSF) has sounded an all-out alert along the entire Indo-Pak border and LoC, asking border guarding troops and observation posts to keep a "hawk's eye" over similar air-intrusions in future.

GPS-fitted drones capable of lifting up to 10 kg of weight flew in from Pakistain seven to eight times to airdrop several cache of arms, ammunition and fake currency, which were seized in Punjab's Tarn Taran district, the ongoing probe by the Punjab

police has revealed.

The Army and BSF officials said the troops and observation posts have been asked to maintain the highest possible vigilance along the International Border and Line of Control in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch and Baramulla, Kupwara districts of the state.

"It is a new modus operandi of Pakistain to smuggle arms, ammunition and explosives in India for triggering terror. We have activated our forces to keep a hawk's eye on movement of drones along the IB," BSF officials said.

BSF troops guarding over 180 kms of IB with Pakistain have strengthened their observation posts and "listening posts" to keep a close watch against any intrusion by drones.

The BSF is also patrolling riverine areas along the IB and has deployed water patrol teams in the Chenab river to foil terrorists' design to infiltrate into India from Pakistain, they said.

They have been told to shoot down any drone intruding into the Indian airspace, officials said.

The Army has also intensified patrolling in mountainous valleys and riverine areas along the LoC in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch and Rajouri districts to check intrusions of drones from Pakistain and infiltration by terrorists.

The Punjab Police on Sunday claimed to have busted a terror module of the Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), backed by a terror group based in Pakistain and Germany.
KZF is a Sikh independence movement trained in Pakistan by Lashkar e-Taiba on orders from Pakistan's ISI for deployment against India.
It said the terror group was conspiring to unleash a series of strikes in Punjab and adjoining states.

During investigation, the accused revealed that drones were used to airdrop arms and ammunition, officials of the Counter-Intelligence Wing of the Punjab Police said.
