OTOH, these thugs are too stupid and unstrategic in their manner to actually create a coherent plan for subverting our institutions a la the 1970s-era radical groups that actually did target and assassinate cops and public figures, that actually did stage bank robberies and that bombed literally thousands of public buildings.

These morons are more like performance artists engaged in street theater, like a more menacing version of squeegee men or your ordinary homeless nutjob-cum-hobo.

OTOH, these nuts have the tacit support of state, local and perhaps even federal officials, along with the media.

Given our politicized, left-leaning FBI, its highly unlikely that any Feds are monitoring and surveiling this group's activity.

Which means, bottom line, we have no idea how dangerous these weirdos are, or what exactly is the nature of the threat they pose.

Aside from Andy Ngo's fearless eyewitness reporting, we are flying blind.
