Kandahar: 205th Corps kill 8 Talibs, 7 cops killed by one of their own

15 Taliban militants killed, wounded in Maiwand district of Kandahar: 205th Atal Corps
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan security forces killed or wounded 15 Taliban militants during the operations in Kandahar province of Afghanistan.
The 205th Atal Corps in a statement said the security forces conducted the operations in Mujahid and Jagrum areas of Maiwand district.
The statement further added that the security forces killed 8 Taliban militants and wounded 7 others.
Furthermore, the 205th Atal Corps said the Afghan forces also discovered and defued 17 improvised explosive devices in Maiwand, Khakriz and Panjwai districts of Kandahar.
The Taliban group has not commented operations so far.
Seven Policemen Killed In Kandahar Insider Attack
[ToloNews] At least seven policemen were killed in an insider attack in the southern province of Kandahar on Sunday, local officials said.
The incident took place in Tor Kotal area in Shah Wali Kot district after a policeman opened fire on his comrades, killing seven police force members, Kandahar police said in a statement.
The suspect has escaped from the area scene after opening fire on his comrades, the statement said.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack and said the policeman was their “infiltrator”.
